I'll buy that, but I still think that the curve could be less dramatic in the front to make the scheme more even and still avoid the radome. Maybe a slight wave in the red, white, and blue on the belly to correspond with the swoosh of gray on the fusulage which should also align with the darker stripes. For example...

modified new scheme

If I could make a suggestion can the curve beginning at the nose of the aircraft be brough up just below the rear cockpit window, then flow toward the belly to correspond with the swoosh of gray on the furelage? Reason being I read in a previous post someone claiming the PSA was back with the new paint job. I don't see that. If the curve could begin just aft the radome and swoop up the the rear cockpit window, wouldn't that create the smile effect?

Do you think that the airlines are going to make those things available to people who weren't able to show up since some of us had to work to keep the airlines flying? I hope so of if anyone has extra pins and things let me know!

okay, you will all be getting the pins and decals. Mine is on my lanyard and the sticker on my car already.
I can't begin to tell you how great things were. We all started meeting at the hotel the night before. Just sitting and chatting and voicing our opinions about how things will work. We all came together as one. It was great to see the fa's from all airlines working together on the plane. Good feelings all around. You couldn't tell who was from which airline except for the clothes. Everyone got along just great. Doug and Bruce both sat in the back. No one sat in first except during media interviews. Both CEO's were very accessable to everyone at both the plane and the airports.
As stated from the cockpit. We're all here together to kidk Wn's *** We had a great time and it was so very nice to see everyone work together. I brought along my flexies and showed them what they looked like--hehe one fa took one but that's okay. I'm sure she'll use it well, and show other people what they look like and what they do.
It was a long day but well worth it.
The party in PHX with the music and everything was awsome. Even got to see one of my old managers from US there. Also got to meet one from these boards. Wanted to tell her more but was so pooped by then didn't even know my own name.
All I can say is this will work. We are all one big family and having flown Al on the first flight from Orlando to Pit way back when, working for PI US and now HP. Well I was very proud of OUR airline.

I must take issue with your positive thinking on the new livery.
In "plane" English........it sucks !
Here is the opportunity to show the world that we have a NEW image....NEW plan...NEW forward thinking.........and yet, the brain trust just bastardized the barely acceptable livery that we already had.
Just a look at some of the European liveries will prove my point. Many of them show imagination, yet keep the airlines" identity intact.
A small bit of thinking "out of the box" at this juncture would prove positive.

The point was to make a change with little expense. A complete new image would have cost major bucks!

Anybody that thinks the new livery is bringing back the PSA smile clearly has their lips under their chin.

You know what would be clever, cool, and a simple addition to this scheme..?

On the day that we leave our final visit to BK, we paint the "smile" on the front of the aircraft that carry the new colors...

THAT would be something for the airline to smile about, and thus the planes.

Actually, Rico, it would be cool to place something like the "shark smile" on your logo on the nose. Let SWA that we're coming for them with a "smile" on our face!

THAT'S IT! YES!! THAT'S WHAT IT SHOULD LOOK LIKE!! more swoosh with the red line and not so straight lined. That reflects the waving of a flag better and goes better with the gray swoosh lines!!

I've been lookin at the pictures today and not really getting the "warm-fuzzy" feeling that I thought I'd have gotten because of the hoopla surrounding this unveiling.

Hey DOUG PARKER!! Use CLT-DOUGLAS's design!! It looks better, IMO. I'd also make the red tip on the tail a bit swooshy too just to continue the flow of the lines. It's too straight in it's current look.
THNX CLT-DOUGLAS!! LOVE THAT!!

I agree. I wonder if one guy decided or one guy and 12 yes men.

CLT-Douglas -

I emailed Parker a day or so after the unveiling and after seeing your much better variation. I suggested he use your scheme. I imagine others made the same suggestion to him.

Has Parker approached you about your livery? He very uncharacteristically never answered my email.
