I heard that they filed with the NMB that cards wear signed illegaly. Guess the just couldn't beleave that there members would hing them out like that??

SORRY BUT TRUE WE DO NOT WANT THE IAM

After all of this time listening to the IAM tel of the IBT's futile attempt to "raid" was causing a delay that was preventing 500 mechs back to work and affecting the yearly pension amount to be reduced.... now THEY are holding things up... How will the IAM supporters feel about this.. can you say FLIP/FLOP..

FLIP
FLOP

IAM is preparing to respond to IBT filings that wish to bend the rules....

I love the way you have cooked up this story about 500 mechanics back to work - that is so far in the future it is not a factor - It is the IAM slowing down a vote for fear they will loose - OH and by the way straight out of your uncle al's mouth at the table in the past was no way 500 closer to 150 to 200 - And again the pension with the new company is just wishfull thinking. But if you ask around you will find that no one wants a IAM pension at the cost of the company no longer making contributions to our 401K.

As you like to say "Don't let the fact get in the way"

if you spend the time and do some calculations of the amount of aircraft you now have presently vendored due to your lack of scope....you'll see a huge need for mechanics coming back. ;)

I DID NOT say that there will not be techs coming back and there will be reguardless of who is the representitive. What I am saying is that this 500 number is getting pulled out of your a@@. There is no fact behind it.

oh I wouldn't say that.....there have been some retirements and separations plus they want to staff for these checks which would have already been brought in , but due to IBT's lame pursuit of their agenda....many who could be working right now aren't.

period.

and in the end...NMB will rule on past precedent as in AMFA at UAL and NWA and your card count won't make it and these who could have been working all this time that aren't will be on IBT's plate. ;)

I don't have anything to add on the debate and legal issues between the IAM and the IBT but I do see a lot of New/Old faces coming back to work lately.

People in CLT Base Maintenance are being re-called going back to Hire Dates of May 1990. This isn't perfect considering that everyone hired between June of 1990..and sometime in 2001 is still on the street...But it has to start somewhere.

BTW...CLT Base is turning out B737-300/400 Q-Checks at a record pace. The only limiting factor they are plagued with..is the losers in Texas not turning out ship-sets of seats in an equally timely fashion.

Acft 527 was finshed about 4 days ahead of schedule...only to sit outside the CLT Facility waiting for its seats. This would have never happened if the work remained in-house as it should. PIT Base is also reporting problems with the seats coming back from the Texas Based 3rd Party Vendor for the Airbus S-Checks.

But like I said you are pulling those numbers out of your *&% - just trying to make the IAM look good - you guys should follow your own advise and stick to the facts.

And BOTH groups should take a deep breath and realize that when you bicker and fight internally it strengthens the company and weakens the position of the average Joe/Jane who draws a paycheck.

As an observer only, I see the IAM as worthless as Breasts on A Bovine! IBT, OTOH by mounting this challenge weakens the negotiating positions of whomever ends up representing the workers all the while the unions bosses draw paychecks double and triple yours and you just follow blindly.
I don't see it as bickering. I see it as the right of the employees to choose their representation. Too bad only one side provides information. Any guess as to which side doesn't???

All I see is the IBT Helping Its Members (What We Pay DUES FOR) And THE MISS Representation Of The IAM Members Get A Union That WORKS FOR THE MEMBERS AND NOT THE IAM.
Whats so hard to see and understand.
Have a nice IBT night!
