New Iad Service

Well I guess FL figures IAir is done, so they will fill the void. I am glad to see them adding flights to IAD. They also mentioned they plan to add service to MDW from DC. The only logical choice would be IAD as BWI is covered by WN and DCA would require slots. I hope they add some more flights to Florida (FLL, TPA, RSW, SRQ). I think IAD could handle a similiar operation to what they have at BWI.

They are definitely taking a pre emptive strike on B6. With FLYi slowly leaving the picture besides UA, B6 has built up a nice little operation at IAD. I would not be surprised for B6 to link BOS and IAD, and even MCO and IAD

I think IAD was slightly ahead of PHL in terms of departures.

UA just got done announcing they are beefing up IAD with more flights to BOS, TPA, MCO and other competing routes. I think this is a move more aimed at getting rid of IndyAir rather than a shot at Airtran. just my thoughts............

Of course, the new AirTran SEA service is from ATL, not IAD. 😛
