new hangar in Phoenix?

Actually, PHX may have room in the future. The City of Phoenix bought Phoenix Greyhound Park across from T-4 and is leasing the facilities to the dog track for 5-10 years. That space could accomodate a hanger, or it could be used as part of an eventual fourth runwway if Honeywell were ever to move.
I knew the City of Phoenix wanted that land on the north side, but I did'nt know they actually bought the dog track grounds. Next on their hit list will be the Honeywell campus.

.. Yes there was a large part 145 operation at Sky Harbor that in the end was owned by TIMCO. It was torn down several years ago to make room for the terminal 4 expansion. :(
The torn down hangar that made way for the D concourse was the old Bonanza/AirWest/HughesAirwest/RepublicAirlines/StandardAero/DynAir/Timco building. 3737 E. Bonanza Way. The new fire station sits on an old employee parking lot for terminal 3.
