How reliable are the US flights to MVY? I am taking my family and we are flying out of PHL through LGA. I see that they are often canceled. Are they operated by PSA? How do they re-route you if there is a cancellation? (2 tickets are free vouchers and mine is paid)

There are seven US Airways Express flights a day from LaGuardia to Marthas Vineyard. Five of them are operated by Colgan Air using Saab 340s, and two by Piedmont Airlines using Dash 8s.

There seems to be one US Airways Express flight a day from Washington to MVY showing a CRJ as the equiptment. That would mean its operated by either PSA or Mesa.

An alternative routing is USX Colgan from Boston to Nantucket, and then Cape Air (not a US flight) from Nantucket to Marthas Vineyard.

Cape Air also flies to MVY from BOS and possibly PVD. I've never flown them but the ramp guys in PVD say their service is good, planes well maintained, crews happy, etc.

I have used Colgan DBA as USX many times to the MVY and HYS from LGA never had a problem, very reliable and friendly crews.
