Came across an ad in this morning's CLT-Observer stating open interviews will be held in CLT at the Hampton Inn, for MESA F/A positions.

You would think this would be a Mid Atlantic event??? Why not??? I smell a RAT!!

Just thought some of you wanted to know.

E-TRONS,

Until MAA needs to hire off the street there's no need for help-wanted ads or open interviews.

Good point but why in CLT? You never hear much about MESA in this metro area until now. I think something is cooking.

As my pal Boris would say, "Never under estimate the power of a shnook!" 😉

CLT is a crew base for Mesa, as is PHL and I believe DCA. They have an extremely high turnover rate for flight attendants and are always hiring. Most F/As last a matter of months.

In reality there shouldnt be anyone recieving a US Airways uniform or flying on a blue jet until every furloughee has been offered a job.

Mesa came into CLT big time after buying CCAir in 1998 and shutting them down to install their new ERJ's in the U system. Funny how some employees don't know too much about anybody else except for USAirways..even in your own hub....

That's what being kept in the dark for years while being fed copious amouts of BS will get you. Call me a mushroom.

BTW, What exactly is your point <_< ??

No surprise that Mesa is recruiting in CLT. Just like CCAir before it , Mesa is going to have a fairly high degree of turnover due to low paying jobs to begin with.

JO has also gained a good deal of flying and growth on the backs of the mainline being cut short as well.

I would not be surprised to see more of this in the Charlotte Observer classified section...just like CCAir of the mid 90's . The adds for jobs ran almost weekly because of how they treated people and how they compensated people.

CCAir , if in fact it never had a specific position to fill at the time , would just run a blurb stating something like this "CCAir (dba USAir Express) and equal opprotunity employer" Sometimes they would even add the perks for working for a USAir affiliate in those adds.

These operations seem to love a high turnover rate....never having people reaching top payscales via senority is a plus for them , that's not to say that top of the scale wages amount to much to begin with. Even if you do reach it? , they tend to be looking for a way to prune you out of the way in time.
