This came in an email today.

Speed on the Homepage: One of the items holding the homepage back was the new “smart citiesâ€￾ boxes that allow you to type in a city name or city code to begin the reservations process. We’ve replaced slow code with new ‘AJAX technology’ that allows the page to load 20% faster.

Still dog slow. Took 40 seconds on a 45mbps line at work.

I am sorry, I would not be advertising anything less then 50% speed increase. Thats just embarassing. Basicly to me that states we dont know how to fix it!

All this time and they can only get 20%. They could have had an entire new site developed in this amount of time.

Almost like they are using EDS or something :)

And I need to add this one in as well.

Do something about the luggage situation at the Philadelphia Airport!!!!!!!!!!! Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!! (ed: We truly are making great progress at PHL, try it for yourself!)

AH, no. we have and are afraid it will end up in another city on a differnt airline and take 3 weeks to get back to me. Its going to take a lot more then "trust us" for me to check bagage through PHL again.

My Company has UPS account. I would rather ship my luggage then try out PHL one last time.

Like its happened twice to me in 2 months.

At least I got it back and it didnt end up in a dumpster like PAX on CO this week :)

Yeap, the link in the email works well......

yes sir, they have some real mental giants in the IT department.....

I chose to look at the e-mail as an attempt to improve communication.

I'm in no way defending the web site debacle but at least we're getting some info now instead of outright lies or nothing at all.
Well you can take it anyway you want, but when an email is sent out communicating what all the supposed improvements to the web site are and the link to the web site does not work, it tells me that the old spin cycle is in full tilt. You would think these guys would be embarrassed by now, but that does not appear to be the case.

What was the flavor of the day BTW?

Remember this is the HP way of doing things. They are so anal they needed to make sure the AWA was still part of the URL.

OH BROTHER. You must have smoked too much in AMS. At the end of the email he says, "We are working hard to earn your business every day." That's a crock of crap.

Hey Travis, how about telling everyone how you guys reconfigured the East aircraft? You call that working hard to earn our business? The list goes on and on.
