Try this angle. AA places major order for Boeing and AIRBUS. A320 series aircraft. Would this fuel any speculation for this was done by design for fleet compatibility down the road?

+ I wonder if American Airlines "spinning off" American Eagle has any thing to due to them merging

Now AA and Jetblue will have a common hub and common planes. Jetblue is also ordering the 320neo

I haven't read it in awhile, but I think the law governing merging employee groups covers non-union in a union/non-union merger...
