Not an AMFA supporter, but I like their ideas. ALPA, AFA.. One union one class/craft..

Wish our unions would support.. These guys have families. .

One would think most in our field are wise enough to know that NWA maintenance problems are dangerous and should be avoided..
I would also hope that most would avoid NWA buisness because their success in this union busting will only result in more outsourcing..

All outsourcing... Pilots, FA's, Catering, Cleaning, Ramp, CSR, RES.. Kiss it all goodbye...

New startups are forming to do just this.. Right know..
Airlines of just Managment.....

Pilots and FA's etc.. dont think your safe. . THERE ARE NO FAR'S OR DOT requirments that can save ya.. They can cert anyone contract to do your job.. Its all in the 121 carrier manuals which US Airways writes....

US Airways will/has been watching NWA and the startups closely, were a LCC know.. Any cost saving is up for grabs..

SMMECH: What you speak of is one of the trends that helped me decide to leave U-S Airways after 17 years. And it was a decision that was easier than I thought it would be.

Heaven help the employees of the new U-S Airways if a merger with NWA is consumated. NWA has proved itself time and time again, to have one of the most abominable-management types of any company out there today. You need to look no farther then their premeditated union busting activity 18 months before the AMFA walked out. They spent countless millions on training   and employing their SCABS while claiming to be losing oh, so much money. They would have been better off keeping their TRUE MECHANICS on board. But no....instead they paid for a goon-squad security force, hotel rooms and bus transportation for the SCABS, all at an unmentionable cost ($$$) <_< That's from a brilliant management team alright!!

NWA is more concerned with getting things the way they want instead of safe and reliable aircraft which is priority one for any real airline. If Doug Parker has any real business sense, he will avoid a merger with NWA at ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you are reading this Doug.

It's truly a shame what has become of the once great profession of aircraft maintenance. Proud and dedicated people have been replaced by self centered SCAB-HACKS who are only there for the money, a company like NWA will pay for SCABS!!! Not to mention all the airline work going overseas to China and Asia. To add insult to injury, in the great USA most third party maintenance providers employ non-english speaking (nor reading) personnel to work America's aircraft fleet. And this is in an atmosphere where money and time are higher priority than quality and safety. If the plane is late from a check?? The third party provider must pay for lost revenues to the airline. This is a recipe for eventual disaster!!! But not to worry, there is always one SUCKER mechanic willing to sign for all the work performed by these migrant maintenance trainees.

If the flying public was smart (and they are not), they would avoid flying on aircraft maintained under these conditions. But I guess the lure of a low fare outweighs their safety at 37,000 feet. It's bad enough that pilots will fly these aircraft without concern?????????WTF-Over??

Cash is king!! What you don't know won't hurt you!!The FAA will protect you    Yessiree!! Just like they protected the pax on the Valujet, Alaska Airlines, and Midwest Express flights.........that crashed, killing EVERYONE onboard :(

For Pete's sake, Wake the hell up already people  !!!
