Man Sues Us Air After He Drank Alcohol, Fell Down

I believe that $15K is the minimum amount a plaintiff asks for in any Circuit Court action in Florida. Even if they wanted a million bucks, the lawsuit format usually states that damages to be considered are at least $15,000. Anything less than that belongs in another venue (County Court?).

Aside from all the usual stupidity in this case, most of the judges in Lee County who presided in cases when I have testified are fairly sharp. It would be very surprising if the case did not get tossed before trial.

Even if it makes it past the judge, the guy lives in Marco Island which is in Collier County. Lee County juries tend to consider Collierites as spoiled, rich people.

Careful, talking about trailers, you might be insulting folks who don't have the means to pull their silly selves out of poverty and into real employment.
Or, most of the employees of UAIR after the next round of givebacks (if not this one, then the next one for sure!). Where did you say I could get those blocks again?

"Trailer trash" is a state of mind, not a level of income. There ware wealthy people who have no class and are could be termed trailer trash even if they don't live in a trailer. There are people who live in trailers and still have class.

That being said, I guess many readers couldn't resist snickering upon learning that the man was from WV.
C'mon. Do they even have escalators there? Maybe he just didn't know how to ride one. :D

Hey, after Dave concesions III, I may be living in a trailer....err.. a pre-manufactored, relocatable home. Good thing I'm not in tornado country.

(Ok, I promise to stop now.)

Suit dropped he didnt mean to sue.....? No comment from his lawyer. Maybe he was so drunk he forgot he told her to sue?
It's so annoying when people don't want to take responsibility for their own actions. Perhaps when he sobered up he realized just how ridiculous the suit was, especially the whole thing!

<_<

Yes, it's strange that he "learned about the lawsuit along with everyone else." Oh well, at least it's been dropped, I guess.
