You are the one looking pathetic when you post lies about things you are not involved with.

You are the one posting accusations and smears without proof.

The burden of proof is on you. Go ask of your fellow 15 US Airways management who were in the room yesterday what was prepared for them in a professional manner. Something you have no clue about.

US Airways spokesman David Castelveter said the (IAM) proposals failed to address the needs of the airline.

"We told them that it is time to immediately begin negotiations with the company and that the time for avoiding the real issues which confront us is over," he said.

You all ready posted that, and you can believe what the company says. Just like they told you to take concessions to keep your Defined Benefit plan.

P.T. was 100% right!

So the question is in one area, 'Are the IAM numbers legit?'

Is there one area where the company numbers can be questioned?

Has the company considered the IAM's recommendations?

That is the $64,000 question, US likes to use "fuzzy math", during the two previous rounds of concessions the IAM hired Financial Advisor Tom Roth and he proved the company's numbers wrong on just about all of their facts and figures.

US Airways to machinists: Try harder

Complete Story

The IAM's "pain" could intensify next week where US Airways could default of machinist pension payments that could begin the process to terminate their retirement plans. Furthermore, if the airline wins the Airbus overhaul arbitration the company could elect to not negotiate with the union and then rationalize its fleet to all Airbus aircraft, eliminating about 4,000 mechanic positions.

If the company loses the arbitration hearing, the company could move all overhaul to Dothan, Alabama.

If the airline enters bankruptcy as anticipated by ALPA's advisors, then the company could reject the Charlotte maintenance facilities too.

Furthermore, ALPA's advisor's told the MEC yesterday the S.1113e process would take days, not weeks to conclude.

We don't care anymoron.

It does not matter that you do not care anymore because your union and its members are about to become irrelevant. What’s interesting is that it’s your choice to get “steam rolledâ€￾.

And, ALPA isn't getting steamrolled? Did you just inhale on a flight from MOBAY or what? That piece of crap thrown at the NC is worthy of a Stephen King novel. "Heeeerrrreeessss's Chippy."

Fuzzy math indeed... During the course of one week of negotiations with ALPA, the companies wage reduction requirement increased 100%... Those must be very fuzzy numbers.

Fuzzy math and fairy tales if you ask me. I think the company negotiators must be giddy with ALPA's situation. The union is imploding right before our eyes. A 35% paycut and death of the union. Gee, Christmas, Kwanzai, and Hannukah are coming early this year for mangement.

ALPA's financial and legal advisor's warned the RC4/C4 that each day that they waited management's proposals would get worse, but the "rookie" RC4 and NC disagreed. Well it looks like the advisors with years and years of experience were right and the "rookies" were wrong.

US Airways spokesman Dave Castelveter again dismissed IAM's proposal as inadequate.

"As we again have told the IAM, there is nothing new, unique or innovative about their ideas,'' he said. "IAM leadership must come to grips with the fundamental fact that other union leaders have reluctantly but correctly concluded -- the industry has changed forever. The airlines that will be successful will be those that transform their entire business and create a sustainable cost structure.''

But Labor Day is right around the corner! Let's all wear red ribbons under our wings for the financial blood-letting this company is doing and then celebrate Thanksgiving by accepting the crumbs from the Bossman's table.

The right thing to do is to just walk away and let the 'chips' fall where they may. Full pay to the last day.
