LUV the smell of a new a/c

Good catch orange, I didn't even pay attention to the date differences. And you're spot on about WN having a very tough battle when it was initially created, the legacys did all they could do to put the "kibosh" on WN, so its not like WN was just given anything, it was and still is a battle.

Doc, Thank you for paying attention! Any moment now some WN bashers will chime in with some irrelevant, inacurate and illadvised drivel. Magsau perhaps?

You knew that WN was already well established as an intrastate Texas carrier (and therefore not subject to CAB regulation) before the start of deregulation, didn't you?
When deregulation began in December 1978 there were four such airlines (intrastate jet operators): Besides WN there was Air Florida, Air California(Air Cal), and PSA. Southwest is the only survivor.

I have him on ignore, along with a few others. I can't be bothered by hate posts any longer. I don't mind reading coherent, relevant posts that perhaps are negative about WN, thats not a biggy, its when their personal hate gets thrown in that gets me...or used to get me...ahahahah.

Good post though and yes mga I knew that but didn't put 2 and 2 together, thanks though. Thats a good point, only WN is still around today from that group.
