While some of the other jets are not too bad, this one is not something that looks too appealing. Looks like a giant birdstrike. Or maybe something that Stephen Colbert would paint for his show.

Saw the 'Screaming Eagle' today at TUS. Came in from MDW at 1235 (early--sked is 1255), departed for LAX on time at 1315.

All I can say is "WOW!" That is one impressive paint job!

They're not even close. Air Niugini's "Bird of Paradise" scheme from the '80s was a bit closer.

The only thing that the Illinois flag's eagle is somewhat similar to the the eagle on the Mexican flag.
The IL eagle isn't perched on a prickly pear, however, and has a ribbon in it's beak rather than a snake!

Geez. Is the concept of state flag-themed planes (of states that are important to WN--Florida is now the most glaring omission) really THAT hard for some of you to understand?
