That actually appeared to be LAS, neither PHL or PHX. I believe that is the only LAS-Hawaii flight that operates so if there was a maint problem on it, there probably wasnt another plane to switch out to or crew in LAS legal to take it to Hawaii after the lengthy delay. Thats what it sounded like at the end when they said they were going to go to PHX. Crew/plane change?

It was LAS-OGG. It was likely a maintance issue with ETOPS, and given that it was the LAS-OGG there was probably not a 757 in the station to swap it with. They probably got caught on a rolling maintance delay with maintance trying to fix it. Oddly enough they NEVER showed one US Airways comment, only those of passengers. That allowed them to claim being lied to, misinformed, whatever, with nothing to refute that.

Slightly OT for which I apologize, but does US still fly LAS-OGG? Checking many dates and no sign of it.

That's because the video is nearly 6 months old. It's already been posted on here. Look for something dealing with MX on the LAS-OGG flight... If I remember correctly there was a MX problem on the aircraft and a mechanic had to be flown in from PHX.
