Anyone have anything to say about the Presidents of Locals that voted yes to bring this to a vote? On the bright side, I personally want to thank Larry Pike and our E-Board for standing strong with a No vote.

Our E-Board was never consulted by our president. He voted yes to bring this t/a back and said he wanted a "mandate" by the members. He got it. Now a survey needs to be taken. Our E-Board was a big no however and we said so.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I would like to waste a lot of your time (and mine) by explaining a bunch of crap about how this AMP drive is is simply mental masturbation by flaccid individuals that have not been able to to stand on their own two feet (see below), however suffice to say LOCAL 567 ROCKED the vote on this last TA, and under President Pike WE will continue to lead the System without the help of these ineffectual individuals......stay together, let's not lose focus......God knows that the ATD does not need another lame excuse, why they cannot deliver a COMPETENT agreement in a timely fashon......

Matthew Victor Lorenzi

Vice President, Local 567

Alliance Fort Worth, Texas

A12M

Ahem, The "flaccid" and "ineffective" individuals you speak of also just happened to be the most vocal against the T/A that was brought to us! Over HALF of "your" Local has signed an AMP card! I'm speechless...

Our Miami President continues to preach the AA gospel and is waiting for the international tap on the shoulder. After all our international is exempt from concessions...

I want to thank our President Bob owens for listening to his E-Board and his membership on voting "NO" The members spoke loud and clear with a 95% vote "NO" from our local and he will continue to listen to his E-Board and his members going forward. the question is, will all presidents listen to theirs or act on their own?

At last month's union meeting I asked our president here at Local 565 if he was going to consult/contact the E-Board for their input/suggestions/recommendations on whether or not to vote to bring a potential t/a back to the membership. He said "No.". Funny, before I resigned he said he would contact the Board. So which is it?

I'd like to thank all those who voted no to bring this industry leading concessionary t/a back.

Is there an official list showing how each local Rep voted for the T/A? Or is this supposed to be kept "secret"?

Actually yes! There is a petition ongoing at local 565 to recall the president. All the presidents that voted yes to bring this backthe last t/A for ratification should be removed from office. Why would you send back a president that voted yes on the last T/A back to negociate another T/A. He already sold you out once do you want him to sell you out a second time as well??

The president at local 565 told the membership on more than one occasion that he would not vote yes on a T/A that didnt include full retro and would not vote yes if there were any concession's in it. Well , there was not full retro pay in the last T/A and it was full of concessions.

In my opinion he is a typical politician flip floppin like a fish out of water. Once again we have tried to change from within but have failed once again. Time for a change. The TWU has failed once again!

I see that you are new here but I think I've seen you before in some kinda movie or something B)

So the TA was not the fault of the TWU International as the AMP supporters suggest, according to you, it was the Local Presidents that brought us this turd!

Hmmmm, that is a new twist from an AMP movie star

<_< ----- Hey, at least you have conceded that the T.A. was a "turd"!----- Maybe there is hope for you yet High Speed!

HSS,

I do believe that some of the international officers had some influence over some of the members on the presidents council , but not all of them obviously! but ultimately the local presidents voted to bring the last T/A back to the members for ratification. To my knowledge the international officers did nit actually have a vote. please correct me if i was misinformed! Our local president stated to the membership that this T/A was the best that the TWU could do, but he changes his positions so much he should run for congress. Best regards RC

Russ,

It seems there was a similar message conveyed here in Tulsa in regards to the TA and our former local president had been very vocal about how the negotiation team was in charge of the past round of negotiations. This leaving me with the assumption that they were not utilizing the International to their potential to negotiate us a contract. You see, this is not the first Rodeo for the International when it comes to negotiating a contract. What I believe we observed was the bullish arrogance of a few newbies. Now I'm not going to go into a bashing campaign with you over my former leadership but that is how I seen it. Now with you and your quest to recall your local president for voting Yes on this TA. I don't see the Non-Compliance charge, but what ever floats your boat. Besides, there are time limits applicable too. You need to read your TWU Constitution and educate yourself... ;)

hss,

"Bullish arrogance" of a few presidents? Yea, you certaainly wouldn't want anyone questioning the company's arguments considering the intl. was the one pleading their case. These bullishly arrogant presidents should be returned for sheepishly ignorant wanna bes hoping to kiss the ring.

The recall isn't for voting yes on the t/a. Maybe you are the one who should educate themself. Read the twu constitution? You mean the same constitution that doesn't allow for the ELECTION of all officers and the recall of all elected officers? The only thing the twu constitution can do is educate those reading it what an undemocratic, unaccountable industrial union looks like.

"read your twu constitution and educate yourself..." Yes, I urge EVERYONE to do this then sign an AMP Authorization card.

GO AMP!
