 The great organization of TWU can not answer my simple questions.
How many American Airline mechanics were put on the street in MIA during the reduction of force and how many mechanics have recall rights in MIA?
Have there been any mechanics recalled or are there any plans to do so?
Does any one know this?

Please reply

a dues paying mechanic

Go down to your local and ask to see the Layoff and Recall lists for the peticular station you are concerned about.

Is recalls happening in some locations? yes! As they come available or if a position is open in other classifications that you hold recall rights for. I also have seen where the recalls have been exercised and some have applied to a different classification and are now working.

At AA every effort is being made to keep work in-house and this will enable the layed off TWU Members and others to have an oppurtunity to return. One of the unique issues I remember during the times before de-regulations was the members were on layoff beyond the expiration time for recall rights and the TWU was able to get AA to continue to honor the list and everyone was returned who wanted to return.

Why go to the local, all this information should be on JETNET just like your contract book.....

Farming out work In house you mean. Can you say OSM?

But the TWU is not concerned about your wages and benefits just the number of dues paying jobs.

My local at AFW does not know any thing about MIA and they tell me that they do not have access to what happens in MIA. I have tried to find this out on Jet net with no success.
This is what I get from my TWU officers.
When I can not get any answers from the TWU where can I find this out.

To Justamechanic,

I will see what I can find out for you. Not sure how long it might take but I will try to answer your question when I get some (if any) information.

I don't see you trying to help out a fellow union brother "Tom"

Oh, and I don't have a BMW Tom. Not made in America! ;)

How many products do you have that are 100% made in America with all parts made in America?

You have a son? Great, another twu genius in the gene pool.

Ahhh, I'm just "kidding", get it?

Were you also kidding when you voted for the latest round of concessions?

Better be careful who you are talking to Buck. I think Hackman is on "your" side! ;)

Careful Hackman. . .you don't want to go and start talking about someones kid. That's the wrong road to go down. I'll give you that one! <_<

I was talking to you, twuer. I do not need you to tell me to be careful.

The TWU supporters who post here, are full of jokes and sarcasm concerning their profession. I do not believe the membership thinks the last round of concessions was a joke.

Buck, you take me too seriously man. ;)

We take our professoin very seriously. Why do you think we take the time out of our busy schedules to try to debate with you AMFA boys. We have seen the damage that AMFA does. We don't want any part of AMFA.

And honestly, I would rather be credited with sarcasm than with making accusations and personal attacks.
