"lap" Children Flying On Aa

Yeah right. Just what we need. 2 f/as and a cleaner in hand to hand combat over the car seat. That's sure to get that next flight out on time.

Jim,

That visual is TOO MUCH...LOL!

Of course, the F/A's chances are better since the line crew has to offload the aircraft first before cleaning. Don't forget the "C" bill advantage either.

You forgot an important dark horse...the cockpit. If they found out there was a "return reward" on hypothetically rented car seats...well, that changes the odds.

I can see it now...a pax struggling up the aisle with the rented car seat. The F/As are minimum crew and cannot leave the A/C...however, the cockpit can! Strategy!

That's more fun than the HIGHLY competitive magazine/newspaper dive.

If you can think of one more event (preferably involving F/As and gate agents) we can have a triathalon!

This is just me being absurdist and silly. Today was a grim day in the airline world, media-wise (fuel and pensions in the papers). I just need a bit of lightness right now.

Thanks for the visual that made me giggle!

Well, the safety seat grab and the magazine dive are both really strength events. How about a cardio and endurance event? Like, jumping to conclusions (using galley gossip as a springboard, of course.) Or, running off at the mouth. Or, for us older competitors a seniors event--jogging our memory!

Ha-ha, Jim!

I have some bad news for you...we already have endurance events...they are called trip sequences.

Just prepare yourself!

I recently spoke with a friend who is being recalled and I had to give him a reality check on his base choices.

He lives in LA, so of course NYC was his first choice. I highly recommended SLT, then BOS for the same reasons you have determined they are your first choices.

I've been based at both (they are VERY similar in mentality)...great bases and people.

Don't worry, he's junior to you! I believe he is #173.

Let us know where you end up ASAP!

Take care,

FYI, I heard this morning that SLT will get approx. 50 furloughees even if everyone on the xfer list accepts transfer. That would mean that SLT is getting approx. 100 additional flight attendants. If there are as many as 50 furloughees assigned to SLT, it's possible, but still not probable that I could get SLT. Keeping my fingers crossed. 🙄
