I believe another thread was closed about this topic. Normally I would not start a topic on something that has been talked about before. However, since the original poster was crucified I thought I would share.

Seems that sometimes just because it is not on the news or the internet instantly does not mean it did not happen.

Thanks for the link. The other thread was only talking about how well the incident (whatever it was) had been kept out of the news. Eveyone posting made a point not to mention what actually happened.

The other thread was a disaster. It was a mysterious post about an event no one knew about. It was also a perfect example of how a post should not be made. That's for providing a link so we actually know what the hell the post is about.

necigrad.... there was no information on the net about it... that was the whole point.... had there been a link at the time, I would have provided it.

After seeing the pictures on Facebook, I was not sure either what the official story was for the deployed slides. I got too busy with other stuff. I didn't have the time to go through the trouble to copy the picture and paste it on here. I hope this answers your question.

from an article in a hawaiian paper the apu caught fire or something like that i saw that on justplanenews.com

Understood, but what you posted was worthless. Had you only said something like "What was up with the smoke on that flight" or "AC904 declared an emergency for smoke in the cabin" or something similar it would have been a totally different outcome. My thought after reading your post was "? WTF?". There was no information at all, just someone online posting a "What was up with that?" with no context for what 'taht' was.

Of course, I also realized that would be a good title for a book :The Kona Incident.
