Justify Syria

1st off, let me state, that as long as "The Annointed One " is in office, no one will look at us as a world leader !

2nd point I made was that the Amazing Kreskin ( Barry-O) thinks dropping a couple of bombs, will solve the issue, to which I replied that China And Russia will not stand for that!

How do you get Bi-Polar out of "BaRack is not a world leader" and Barry-O is an idiot ?

In fact, Russia has already stated their course of action !
"Putin Orders Massive Strike On Saudi Arabia If West Attacks Syria"

http://2012thebigpicture.wordpress.com/2013/08/27/putin-orders-massive-strike-on-saudi-arabia-if-west-attacks-syria/

You are bi polar because in one post you want the US involved and in another you ack oldege that Russia and Cbina might retaliate I some how.

So what is the benifit in your eyes of doing something in Syria.

We have not been a world leader in decades. This has not happened in the last 5 years as much as you would like to believe it. Bush blew pretty much all the good will we had with Iraq.

Afe you bi-polar? In thr other thread you said we should be a world leader. Now you are worried about it becoming another Iraq.

Maks up your mind.
South isn't alone in this. Listening to whacko radio tonight coming home from my kids VB game, a caller gave the obligatory "Obama sucks" comments, then proceeded to sound like a liberal from 2003 as he expressed his concerns about the lack of an exit strategy, questioning if it really WAS the government that used the gas, and bemoaned the fact that we didn't have other countries behind us....like China...and I damn near swerved off the road hearing THAT one....at least the whacko host responded with "when has China ever sided with us?" These are tought times for our hawkish neocon friends. They don't know what to do....itching to attack another mid east country but offering up reasons why we shouldn't because "the annointed" is the president.

I've resigned myself to the fact that the US is going to make the mistake of intervening, and that most likely WW3 will start because Iran says an attack on Syria will result in missles raining down on Israel, and we can't sit back while THAT happens. And for the neocons...the fact that Syria shares a border with Israel makes in imperitive that we do SOMETHING....because if we don't,Israel might be next, and if we do, Israel WILL be next.

Maybe if the same people on these boards and in this country, who b!tch and moan about the war for oil, in the M.E. would get the F%$K out of the way of oil reserves here in the U.S. we might not be having this dicussion !

I'm all for that south...with ONE stipulation...I'll risk my environment and my water supply to keep the cost of filling your Suburban low with our own tar sand (dirtiest of the dirty) oil, so long was we do NOT export one single drop of it to a foreign country. Does that work for you?

The only problem is the oil is not ours. It's the oil companies and they can do wit it as they choose. What I would like to see is fuel taxes raised to reduce driving and basing registration costs based on HP and weight. I would like to see federal grants and rebates for alternative power sources for homes and businesses. We need to reduce our dependency on oil period. Searching for replacement oil reserves only postpones the inevitable.

Works for me and I don't drive a Suburban !

It's the oil companys whether it comes from Iraq or Hollywood..........with one big difference ! Figure it out !

Tree....humor the righties....they say that the Syrian gas was Saddams gas. Where did Saddam get that gas....hint, it wasn't at Taco Bell.
Imagine where we would be if we had a President McCain right now.

We would have boots on the ground in Yemen, Sudan, Libya, Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan. (Did I miss any)

Syria is so out of hand, Congress now wants something done.

Why is it our issue?

Assad already offed around 100,000.

Now it turns out 100 may have been killed by Bush's hidden WMD's.

IT'S TIME TO ACT!

Obama to seek approval from UN? What about our Congress?

Obama said Al Qeida is dead but we are sending them arms in Syria. Don't forget those pesky 400 surface to air missiles that disappeared after the Benghazi incident.

Invest in body bag manufacturers....Obama is about to go on a roll.

With American military intervention into the Syrian civil war looming on the horizon, Americans would do well to remember what then-Secretary of State John Quincy Adams told Congress on July 4, 1821:

"Wherever the standard of freedom and independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be. But she goes not abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She is the champion and vindicator only of her own. She will recommend the general cause, by the countenance of her voice, and the benignant sympathy of her example."

This!!!

The irony: One reason there is no public support for additional military action is that Obama killed all public support for the wars we are currently in. He has not once spoken to the American people about the strategic importance of our efforts in the Middle East.

What is the point of starting a new front in Syria, a front that would actually help us in Iraq and will box in Iran further when he is doing everything in his power to give up all our gains in Iraq and Afghanistan? To not have a status of forces agreement in Iraq after we lost thousands of lives there is just plain negligence.

And I have no idea why he surged in Afghanistan, only to declare surrender the same day! Oh, wait, I know why, he popped off his mouth during the 2008 campaign about Afghanistan being the good war and had to surge forces only for his own credibility. Kinda like we are doing here, given his "red line" comments.

Democrats are always for fighting wars, except for the ones that we are in and that they voted for.
