JetBlue Ceo interview-60 minutes

Excellent post AOG-N-IT!

Just a comment, you said: "AOG-N-IT Replies....When was the last time you heard of any of the other CEO''s doing this on thier flights?...and ultimately what purpose would it serve? I''m sure a greivance might be forthcoming if they tried (LOL)"

Don''t laugh cause it is true! When Dave first arrived he started a program where senior management would come out to the stations on heavy travel days to help out. When Dave or one of his VP''s arrived in PIT to try to help he was told that if he touched a bag or a ticket that the employee groups would grieve his actions. I guess you just can''t win can you? People #### cause he isn''t a hands on, in the trenches kind of CEO, and when he tries to dig in and help, he gets threatened with greivances! You can''t have it both ways Golden......sorry.

Dave can work the other end of my cart any day, along with his gang.

AFA asked them some time ago to take a 4 day trip with us so that they may have a full understanding of what its all about..." work life through the flight attendant". Instead of experiencing it, they reduced staffing to FAA min. on ALL AIRCRAFT.

I just love these guys....

One HUGE difference between Neelman and Seigel.

Neelman is a LEADER. Leaders motivate and inspire. They consider employees asset number one.

Seigel is a money man. Money men put money first. They don''t understand the importance of employee morale.

I wonder if Dave has read "A Culture of Commitment" by Herb Kelleher

Maybe he should.

As long as Dave Siegal continues to defend the theft of the 5% deferral like he did on friday's weekly message, he will continue to receive a barrage of criticism from employees. With so many employees taken right to the edge of the financial "cliff" by the paycuts and benefit changes, the additional 5% is no less than a personal PUSH from Dave over the edge. That 5% will not make or break US Airways over the next 18 months, but it will surely be the last straw for many family's financial welfare. As long as it continues, it wont matter what Dave says or what he does, his credibility is ZERO with most of the employees.

Forgive me for my continual revisit to this issue, but I consider it the biggest indicator of managements disregard for the welfare of U employees.

Keep in mind that all of the employess that have been "Expressed" to the poverty level, have that extra 5% taken in addition to their $6 an hour paycut...Nice finishing touch......
