Since both crude and jet prices have been trading in a relatively narrow band for a while now, I'm going to abbreviate the weekly update and concentrate on prices.

Spot prices on 6/23/06:

NY Harbor jet - $2.0150
Gulf Coast jet - $2.0620
Los Angeles jet - $2.1914
WTI Cushing crude - $70.50

Bloomberg reports that WTI Cushing closed @ $72.19 today.

Platt's jet fuel prices on 6/23/06:

Europe & CIS - $2.0980
North America - $2.0810
Asia & Oceania - $2.0640
Middle East & Africa - $2.0190
Latin & Central America - $2.0830

The usual chart. The June averages will be available next week.

Just heard a barrel of oil has hit a all time high above $75. Iran, North Korea, and Mexico elections are making markets nervous.

Looks like WTI Cushing closed at $75.10, according to Bloomberg. NYMEX is up a little higher at $75.19 in afterhour trading. The last two weeks has seen about a $6 per barrel increase in light, sweet crude prices.

On another note, the weekly EIA report won't be out till tomorrow due to the 4th of July holiday. I'll try to get another abbreviated weekly upate posted before I go out of town on vacation.
