Spot prices on 7/21/06 (NOT gasoline this week :up:)

NY Harbor jet - $2.2185
Gulf Coast jet - $2.1398
Los Angeles jet - $2.1925
WTI Cushing crude - $73.52
Bloombers is showing WTI @ $73.75 as of 10:19AM (before the EIA report was issued).


Platt's regional jet fuel spot prices for 7/21/06

Europe & CIS - $2,149
North America - $2.200
Asia & Oceania - $2.101
Middle East & Africa - $2.057
Latin & Central America - $2.207

For next week's update, the EIA will have the July average spot price data available. In the interim, here's the average through the 25th with the June average following in paranthesis:

NY Harbor - $$2.1929 ($2.0736)
Gulf Coast - $2.1534 ($2.0807)
Los Angeles - $2.1935 ($2.1894)

The jet fuel numbers aren't all that shocking - no big movement. Next week's report should show declines.

I'm tempted to ask "With a $305 million net for the quarter, who cares what fuel costs?!?" 😛

The possibility of $100/bbl oil still exists, but this week's price declines in the face of mideast conflict make me think it is less likely.
