Diamond Dave, Van Hagar, I like em both man.

Stay Frosty.
Weez we are cross utilizing here the AA guys won't go up the jetway and put bags on the slide because they have a contract company do it. What I don't understand with all the cuts you guy had why didn't your union say to the company we will get the bags with no extra people,Get rid of the contact company do it system wide and put a monetary value on it and have it offset the cuts? Why was a contract company there to begin with?

Alright read the Maintenance thread. Isom huh.

Smoke up the poop chute IMO.
No you are hearing one side there were some good exchanges. a lot of thick people in the room the bottom line is the company wants to seek help I'm assuming a mediator.Better not agree to an arbitrator because if you compare work rules withe the other airlines the AMTs and us to a lessor extent are screwed

In my whole career we've never gone upstairs to throw bags down. And NO WAY would we want that job without extra heads.

Besides that work belongs to the CWA Agents now. Don't know why they're not doing it yet? (CARS Job)

I'll try to check it out tonight when I get home. And no we didn't want a mediator when they were putting the merger together and we don't want one now.

That was the APA and APFA who agreed to that. Not the TWU.

The some guy was Isom he didn't say Mediator but he did say help so I'm assuming

If he said help that could mean the Association Leaders.

And if Isom is so concerned about getting a deal finished him and old Dougie need to be in that room too. Get the hired help out of there.

He said Mediation (mediator) and also mentioned the Union heads coming in. Not only does he say mediation, he pretty much says that is what he expects...Unlike what a couple of posters here would have you think, Isom and others say we are a long way away, and Doug states it's gonna take a long time...

Doug also said "No one is going to abscond with my money" He also said "He never said that" on that career job comment.

Doug says lots of things.

It's a genius move be the company. Company asking for an outrageous scope, forces a stalemate, then mediation, and the union has no control of the outcome. We are screwed.

Can't force a stalemate. Worst case scenario is we have current contracts that are good till Sept 2018 then we go into Section 6.

Not gonna happen. (But I have been wrong before)

If the company wants mediation, yet the difficult issues have not been discussed, then that's a pretty bad situation. They're taking advantage of the bumbling Association who are looking dumber as time goes by. The top guys are going into the talks from what I've heard. Obviously they should have talked to each other on issues a long time ago which it now appears they did not. Sad situation to say the least.
