JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

Actually I originally thought May remember. I was WAY off. But you can keep reminding me if it brings you comfort.

Otherwise that was a good assessment of your opinion and could very well be a fact once this all plays out? We'll see?

Curious do you know or have ever spoken to a man named Tom Reagan within the IAM? He's the man who found and searches for good medical plans.

Are you stone cold adamant that we will end up in the AA plans or can you give your mind even an inch of room for doubts?

There is room for hope, but not for doubt. The way the Company looks to lower their expenses is to have everyone on the same plan in order to pool all those resources. They've spent the last 6 years trying to reach their goal and after being this close, I can't see how they back away while being so close to achieving it.

If the Members had an appetite to fight this battle as long as it would take, then you may have a better opportunity, but they don't.

Ok but you're not factoring in to the equation how the IAM side (members) will react if their costs are dramatically increased? And I absolutely do understand the Political difficulty that the IAM negotiators would have trying to sell it to their members since they already have the majority of any raises in hand.

Factoring in many of the items I've been talking about the last few days. PT disparities, CS issues, layoffs and recalls and now maybe higher insurance costs for 30% of the total membership what with all of us having the majority of any wage increases already could spell a disaster for passage of a JCBA?

Do you see any wiggle room where this can be overcome?

Also don't forget that the IAM did have a seperate cost (same) plan from the rest of the airline and even though they say publicly otherwise it could be something that (US) management has already gotten used to and can accept?

And they're not in a multi employer medical plan BTW. They're still self insured through the company. The company just matched the price of the plan that was presented. (Something they can do again to guarantee passage)

Nope, just optimistic the Weez is a glass is half full type a guy.Actually not a bad way to go through life. Look he's trying to move another rubber tree plant

I know this sounds ghoulish but I have thought about this. If I just found out I had cancer and they told me I had 6 months left to live. I'd say well at least I outlived my Mom.

That IS the way I think.

Of course they don't want it to go away, hence, this process will not be as quick as you anticipated.

It also easy to see how the differences in contract language and cultures can make this process very cumbersome, as has been mentioned since 2014. The earlier the groups could have gotten together the more prepared they may have been. It was also not a good idea to put out publicly the positions they wanted in all the outstanding articles, another mechanism that slowed things down.

When you start at one end of the spectrum, the other side will start at the opposite side of the spectrum and it takes longer to get an agreement, while at the same time giving the perception of taking backward steps.

This will have two likely outcomes, no agreement and things are pushed until the CBA's become amendable or there is an all in proposal put on the table at which time everyone will need to decide what they will do. Press forward or wait.

That fine. He can have his glass any way he wants. It just that he believes his way is the way and if you don't agree that means you drink from the faucet.

Purely not meant to be an insult rather than an expression of my disappointment with you.
I am sure NYer is heartbroken he did not live up to your expectations. :D
Because despite answering questions on a regular basis, you tend to want to believe your own explanations that have no basis in anything other than fantasy.
This guy has your number WeAAsles.
I hope I don't intimidate you because that's never been my intention.
Ego much?

How about it NYer does WeAAsles intimidate you? :D

I think I would have used another example but I'll say don't change your outlook, With a positive outlook you have a chance to outlive all of us despite your experimenting with god knows what as a young polecat

Tastes better from the faucet and sure beats the toilet. You guys work the same shift? Awkward kinda like Trump and Romney

I'm going to take a page from your book and say an absolute.

This will not be pushed until the contracts become amendable.

Those raises we got had to come with some type of attachment? And that attachment doesn't necessarily have to have been written as legalese. Some people still do make Gentlemens agreements in this Country.

Far far far from it. I've capitulated multiple times on your opinions and have many times sided with you that those opinions do make sense. What disturbes you is that I'm not one of your in House sheep who go along with everything you tell them. I know and speak to people who are much smarter than you and I and I respect those opinions and conversations.

You just have so much hatred and animosity towards me now that your emotions have compromised you.

Let you in on a little secret. I don't undermine you as much as you think and have even tried to tell a few of my "friends" where you could be very valuable. "They just don't listen to me on that one"

Sorry but it really was an honest goal of mine when she passed away and now I've reached that goal. I'm hopeing I still have a lot of life in me to keep getting under certain people's skin and keep others on their toes.

And still need to see those Giant Sequoias too BTW.
