I've seen it and all I have to say is read between the lines people. It is not as good as it looks. When you read it, think of managements history and those snap backs we were going to start seeing in 2005. Think of all the contracts broken in the past. Good luck to all! Either way I cut it I'm shafted. There is no "plus" for me. I will more than likely be unemployed and better off in that situation than any the company is offering me.

Guys within a year or two the only thing in this contract that will mean anything to you is the line that’s say your seniority has to be honored in any mergers!


I would keep a close eye on what the united employees workout. 🙂

Could acquiring company get around the merger clause by forcing US back into bankruptcy, the way TWA was with AA?? All those employees went on the bottom and furloughed accordingly, weren't they???
