Its Midnight, And Our 6:30pm Pit Has Not Left Yet!

I understand where Robbed is coming from.

I don't know exactly why PSA has as many problems with dispatch and flight crews as it does, but maybe it's time to merge ALL of the express carriers into one group and have a coordinated dispatch system instead of ten or twelve little ones. Better yet, get rid of the contract airlines and stop paying someone else to do the work that the WO's should be doing themselves.

Okay, I haven't been on the site much lately and am trying to stay away, so forgive me if I missed something.

What is going on with PSA? We're into the 20th day of June and I am still seeing their flights cancelled or delayed. Can anyone give me a definitive answer besides scheduling stinks? We are losing money hand over fist with "lack of flight crew". This is stupidity at it's best and someone needs to get their head out of their rear and fix the problem.

It's embarrassing to protect someone because of a cancelled flight and tell them the connection they're protected on is delayed for the same reason the earlier one was cancelled. In a way I feel guilty for even offering a PSA flight. I find myself making an effort to avoid booking on PSA. Pathetic, isn't it?

we were told at my station to expect cancellatiosn thru august (yes august) due to crews being trained on the CRJ-700--the 70 seat rj and some crews are actually leaving to go to Jetblue and SWA as well as America West. that was what we were told. hoep this helps

PSA is having severe growing pains. The company is almost tripling the size of PSA in about 2 years, and with all the training going on, plus other issues related to the schedule, it is understandable that there are problems, unfortunately during this busy time of year. The problems will be corrected. The employees at PSA are doing the best they can during this rapid expansion period. Except for a few "pain in the rear" employees, not unlike other companies of all types, PSA employees are doing a good job.

Thanks guys, for clarifying a few things. At least now I know part of the ansewrs and what to look forward to. My coworkers will appreciate the info even though its inormation we are not permitted to divulge to the customer. I feel better knowing that one of our express isn't preparing to discontinue business. (Which is what happened the last time we had this many cancellations.)
