We all know what the new vision is going to be or the possibility of BK or some kind of consolidation (be it piecemail or something)

What's going on with the other union contracts.. What specifically is the company looking for for members of CWA/IAM/AFA??

Anyone with any FACTS???

Anyone just wanna place bets on how long we last past SEPT???

No facts have been given to the IAM as the company wants it all.

$120 million from less then 6,000 employees in maintenance.

i saw something on cnn headline news today that usairways is going to lay off some 200 cwa gate agents in clt due to the new machine craps going up. if this is true how much of a savings is this going towards the company? it seems that the more machines they set up, the cost of maintaining them goes up as well? isnt cheaper to keep the agents rather than the machines? the same layoff but no numbers were announced for the phl agents. again i only saw this once today on cnn headline news

I have learned from reading all of 700uw posts that he will never have anything postive to say about this company even though he gets a pay check from it
I see his type every night when I get my work assignment stand there and gripe about this and that some of us just do our job and are happy we have jobs and when the a/c that I work on leaves the gate for the day its job satisfaction

How can you get a job assignment when all your posts say you are no longer a US employee?

Issues I dont have Issuses I have moved on making more than I was at U even at the OLD TOP SCALE WAGES BEFORE THE IAM SOLD OUT THE MECHANICS,its the dionsaur mentality you have that the IAM is going to save you and your work .Bottom line the brain trust in crystal city dont care about you and your family and what you and the union think they will sell you out in a minute to keep Bronner and the rest of he stock holders happy, like I said I have no issuses I moved on and better off you cant your in too deep and cant afford too and just holding on every day like the other old dinosaurs are .AP tech was right with his post soon it will all be out sourced parts , utility , res anything to cut costs

Views: 6,618 great idea go to the media you wont need 90 days to see how the airline will come out , and it seems to me some us air mechanics arent as top notch as they say they are I seen some real hacks working on the aircraft was that my wrench I left in the engine cowl oops I have aquired may free tools from the planes during my visit with this airline and i remember a mechanic who worked for this airline in the avonics dept ask a 737 instructor that if both engines fail how long will THE APU
keep the aircraft flying with thrust it generates

Views: 4,238 what is all this crap about chairs being a ex us air mechanic never to return to this airline who really cares about the chairs if you spent as much time working on the a/c you would need the chairs but thats the typical dinosaur mentality with the senior mechanics in this airline I have seen them all the worst were the trump shuttle dinosaurs lumbering around the line grumbling about the work load they got almost nothing while the junior guys got most the heavy work like always said If you dont like it retire do us junior guys a favor just becuse you are senoir to me it doesnt mean your smarter than me I hate to say it but aircraft mechanics are a dying breed
