What will resolve the PHL issue is when all PHL IAM positions, yes I said all, are outsourced after January 6.

I believe the company may no longer desire a TA with any IAM unit and the government may be backing the company’s new action.

Is there a source for that, or your belief?

You do realize, of course, that such a direction means the end of the airline. The government could support that--the election is over, and the ATSB loan is over collateralized.

clue- they may outsource IAM but the transformation plan has pilots loading the cargo bins after they do their walk around...these guys at Uair are genius... ;)

is there a way to replace iam workers otherwise called rampers cheaply and quickly ....well there is a way ....
they call them selves GATT or other company like them.....

All they have to do is load planes and push back.....

And before you say it..yes people 10 year background can be cleared within 5 days.... in fact FBI can clear someone within 48hrs after receiving their fingerprints

I am not saying the IAM cannot be replaced. I am saying that the IAM cannot be replaced on Jan 6th, unless the company has been planning this a while. GATT certainly does not have 500+ rampers ready to go, background/drug test approved, and properly trained, who are currently doing nothing, on the hope that US Airways will call them soon.

The company can hire GATT, but it will take GATT a while to get up to speed. And while GATT is getting up to speed, the IAM members will have the opportunity to kill US Airways. Pretty simple really.

USA320Pilot,

You are a very mean-spirited man.

Frank Lorenzo was too, and he had to wear a bullet-proof vest. You may want to consider the same after your bashing and provoking of an entire workforce several thousand strong.

You're not too bright, are you?
