Is Airlinepilotpay.com Accurate For Us Airways?

All these are based on Goup 2 aircraft (B-737, A-320, B-717) at 12 year Captain rates.

American $156
Continental $158
Delta $173
Northwest $180
United $147
AirTran $153
Jet Blue $139
Southwest $182

USAirways $125

Sorry A320, in the rush to judge, I mistook you for USA320Pilot.

You should think about changing your handle, the only thing that caught me, was when you agreed with me. :p

Heck even at America West a 12-year captain makes $134/hour!

Shoot, from those pay rates, it looks like you'd be better off in ten years by ditching US and hiring on at WN. Did I miss when "market-based" was redefined to be lower than just about everyone else in the industry?

The US Airways pay rate is accurate.

The Delta, Northwest, and potentially United pay rates are inaccurate. The Delta and Northwest pay rates must be reduced by 32.5% and 15%, respectively. The United pilot's are about to receive a S.1113© motion seeking a 18% pay cut, which would take their hourly rate down to about $124 per hour.

The major reason US Airways' pilot's are so low paid is the strategy used by the RC4, which caused the pilot's to receive worse and worse company proposals. In fact, during the last 24 hours of negotiations the pay cut went from 16.5% to 18% and vacation was reduced from 28 to 21 days. The same thing is playing out with the AFA, CWA, and the IAM.

I guess I am just going to have to reply to your lies forever. Just because you keep saying it does NOT make it true. The reason U pilots have such a bad contract is you and the BOS F/O rep corrupted the bargaining process because of your fear of losing your jobs. Period. 320 is a magagement puppet, and a disgrace to the hard working pilots at U. Greeter.

A couple of questions from an outsider:

1) What exactly is a 12 year Captain? Is it a pilot with 12 years at the airline, who now holds a Captain's chair? Or is it a pilot who has been a Captain for 12 years?

2) How many hours a year does a typical pilot get paid for, including vacation hours etc.? Is it around 1000? Or less? (And yes, I do know that there is a big difference between hours paid and hours actually worked.)

Thanks.

It is 12 total years with the company. Once a pilot hits the 12 year mark he receives no additional raises unless he can upgrade to a new piece of equipment or the company gives raises. If I am not wrong, I believe all of the US pilots would be a the 12 year step on the pay scale due to the furloughs leaving no one with less time on board.

The avg pay time would be between 850 and 1000 hours for the year.

Certianly the company isn't waiting on us. You just named three groups that are just chomping at the bit to vote NO on something. You don't need to make it worse, we'll vote NO on it just the way it is!

The Delta rates have already been adjusted for their new contract, and according to my source are accurate. However, the rate quoted earlier (173) is for their 737-800. The 737-200/300 rate is 156.
