We just got word at AFW that DWH is getting around 150 people. They are going to be under maintenance base rules but as of now dfw local. Our sheet says 757 landing gears, 777 blanket mods, and drop ins. They are hoping that MCI fills up most of the slots.
Can anyone confirm what will happen when DWH becomes its own station. Will the mechanics at DWH be afforded the opportunity to go to line side DFW on a bid basis and not a station transfer? Maybe a one time deal before they enclose it in fences and turnstiles. Is this an attempt to man DWH through a RIF? Interesting point...If they are looking to man DWH, then it could very well be done through the upcoming rifs.
Makes me wonder that had this TA passed last week, we would have seen the contract language immediately implemented to address DWH and possibly all the Class I stations.

Now with no new contract in place, they are either going to rush back to the bargaining table, or just defer whatever plans they had.
