And as you know, there were absolutely no other Diehard Republican Shop Stewards in the whole US Airways System and it looked like an extremely opportune time to reach out across the aisle....

This goes against the spirt of the law , sure the legislature can change the laws as they see fit , but to manipulate the laws so that their own poltical party benfits is not how democracy is suppose to function ... they need to send this one to the people and let them decide ..

Just like there was no shame in Halliburton getting no bid contracts. Or big time GOP contributors like the founder of Blackwater getting fat contracts.
