Just knowing the past history of the IAM and the company I would have to guess the bids will be formatted anyway the company seems fit to do!! :huh: Could always read the contract, but the company has yet to provide the membership with one as I thought they were required? Its only been six months........ :down:

Realignement and bidding hasn't changed since we voted twice for the POS contract. If the company wants to keep the senior people in a bid area, they will bump the junior people. If the people that get bumped can't hold station , they may take the lay-off or bump system. It's the absorbtion to open slots that is very vague. That would be under bid area relignment. So you could end up with a station realignment and department realignment. (With no bids on the board)
And the compay could do this any time with the proper notice. (7 days ? I think.)
The final audit of the language of the agreement by the union was two weeks ago or so. The union has been on the company to get it out to the membership. :eek:
