Hp Bids For Gates At Mdw

Well, not yet. But it certainly seems like they're going to. Should be interesting to watch this whole thing play out.

If AWA was to get some of the ATA gates, what a/c would they use to fly from MDW? AWA is not set to receive but a couple of a/c for 2005. Would AWA pull down some of its unprofitable routes to free up a/c to fly out of MDW? SWA has the advantage of having about 350 a/c for delivery over the next 7 years or so that they can put in to MDW or other cities. I think that AWA is some what hamstrung by its lack of a/c in the delivery pipeline, unless USAirways fails. Then there will be a lot of A319 and A320 aircraft available to AWA. Just my thoughts......

Mesa's CRJ900 would do well within a 500-800 mile perimeter of MDW and A320's beyond that.

Looks like AWA is done with ATA gates and/or planes in the BK bidding process. I was honestly shocked that they continued the bluff until this point. Phil Hellmuth and the World Series of Poker probably thought this was one of the greatest bluffs. With AWA owing the ATSB money and not expected to make a profit for the year, AWA said it had people in line to give them money to help purchase ATA. HAHA!!!! Just my thoughts...........

Why do you not believe HP CEO Parker? He's about as straight of a shooter as you can get.
