Nothing wrong with nostalgia as long as it is recognized for what it 'was' and move on.

I use to look up at the side of the aircraft and say, yea I work for American Airlines.

But that is the past and we should move on?

Thanks for posting. The fellow that got me started in Aviation was an MD-11 captain for American. When I was in flight school the end all be all of airlines were American and United, to a lesser extent Northwest and Delta. I don't know how to say it any better than, "American in bankruptcy, this sucks." Best of luck to the good people at American.
