He Said What?

I think its time you guys get used to the fact your going to be working weekends either in tul or a line station you bump to on if you have the time. Btw working weekends doesn't mean you have f/s and s/m off you will prob have t/W, m/t,w/t,t/f and whatever other combination of days off there is!
I believe there are some in HGR5 (TUL) that work weekends and have days off in the middle of the week.

My point was/is in more general terms.

Does Aviall or AAR have labor agreements that when they are in full compliance of the agreed to terms, the workers still revolt?

Point, the Labor Agreement allows for 1/7th of Tulsa Base to be placed on weekend coverage. And 1D schedule does not violate that agreement.

There are some scared to death, hero seekers within AA Management that are trying to prove that we are not men of our word when honoring the labor agreement.

I believe the reason AA is seeking to outsource our work is because regardless of what the labor agreement allows, we still control what does or does not take place.

The result, we have zero credibility with management, and they have little interest in making further job saving agreements with our leadership, when the hero seekers have proven that those agreements do not really equate to savings as calculated, because of "union activity".

We are already at a disadvatange against MRO's and when production is used as a tool to prevent labor agreement advantages designed to allow us to compete, we are basically standing in front of management with a gun to our own head sreaming "One more step and Stupid gets It"

Just my opinion from afar....LOL

AAR,timco have a turn over rate on employee's that exceeds 100% in a year, that says it all. That alone causes a steep learning curve. It takes a min of 5 years to even get a decent line or overhaul mechanic due to training alone. Just the proposal to integrate generals and Avionic's at DFW will be enough to overwhelm the Training department. None or very few have Avionic's gen fam class on all the fleets, not including LMP. That's around 500 to 600 folks
that need 5 weeks training, plus OJT for LMP. Plus add 787,Airbus to 900 folks you have a mess...Sounds like a plan. Even if you lay off 300 you still have a mess. Just my 2 cent's
