Hawaiian Airlines is flying a lot fuller than the big Mainland carriers this winter, logging an 87.7 percent load factor for February.
Hawaiian saw traffic rise 11.8 percent on capacity that rose 8.7 percent, compared to February last year. The fullest of the Mainland legacy carriers in February, Northwest Airlines, flew 81 percent full.
February traffic at a glance:
* Revenue passenger miles: 503.6 million. Year before: 450.3 million.
* Available seat miles: 575.2 million. Year before: 539.2 million.
* Load factor: 87.7 percent. Year before: 83.5 percent.
These figures are for scheduled service. Hawaiian also flew 10.8 million charter miles and if this service is folded in, the airline's load factor was slightly better still.
