It's amazing that we are represented by the TWU and don't have GOOD FRIDAY off, but our non-union management people do. :down:

Be glad that we even get straight time for working this holiday. "Next Time" we will be given the ability to have to PAY to work a holiday. At least that makes sense with the twu international negotiating our contract language.Hopeful said:

I tend to agree with Black Bear, the MEMORIAL DAY removal coming from the Union that was founded by Communist is without a doubt the worst we have seen to date.

twuer what holiday are you referring to? good friday was stripped from our contract it is no longer a holiday for the twu membership, only for officers and company management :angry: websters version {holiday}- 1. holy day 2. a day of freedom from labor: day set aside for leisure and recreation. 3.a period of leisure or recreatin:vacation 4. a day set aside by law or custom for the suspension of business, usually in commemoration of some event. NO WE HAVE'NT FORGOT WHAT IT'S ABOUTtwuer said:

yea 2004 while were on the subject of AFL-CIO they support a party who would love nothing more than to infringe on our bill of rights, admendment 2 states : a well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free stste, the right of THE PEOPLE to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.....this nation was created by men who stood up to tyranny and refused to throw their spoils at the foot of the crown. likewise we refuse to give into a corrupt dictatorship organization who steals froms its members and bows to the crown, the day of reckoning is upon those who have sold us out........AMFA NOW!

Say Bill, AMFA has not destroyed our profession. AMFA is repairing the damage that industrial unions have allowed to our profession.Bill said:

Keep your guns. But if you lose control of your government through things like the Patriot Act, TSA and other governmental actions how effective will "Daddy's shotgun" be at protecting you or your family from a government run amok? Did it save those at Ruby Ridge?
