I'm sure the bereaved will find comfort in all of that...

Aside from the issues endured by this person and the resulting actions he chose, above the law, what is available to society to prevent these type actions?
 
 Sadly...........someone dealing with  some type of life changing issues, resorts to extreme consequences, using firearms, how can these issues be prevented living within the Constitution and how did he get access to firearms as a violent convicted felon?
