I'll take that to mean that you really DID shoot Elaine and Johnny.  BUT.....others got protected because you stood your ground, bravely faced the gunman, and took him (and some other innocents) out.

Yup, and ANY government EVER intending to disarm the very people it supposedly "represents" must reasonably be viewed with very sane suspicion....Period.
 
What's most confusing to me is why many of the very same people that so loathe and/or fear police apparently wish to see weapons only owned and controlled by criminals or government forces...Go figure.

Part of the second amendment that is often overlooked is the part about a well regulated militia that should be available to protect the safety of the free state.  So I'm wondering why gun owners aren't required to head over to Syria to protect the free state.

Well, that requires a two part answer:
 
1) Having finished a military career with war and peacetime service that included combat theater in the middle east; can I pretty, pretty please at least be kindly considered for a weapons permit?...Or should I depend on the "sane" discretion of village idiots like Obama/Biden to determine that first?
 
2) No need to nowadays go over to the middle east to fight our enemies anymore, since obama and you liberal folk are so eagerly trying to import them here instead.
 
Umm...On guv-mint "logic"; shall we even briefly reviist Biden's insanity? What kind of complete moron would tell his wife to "Buy a double barreled shotgun", and then, if ever feeling threatened, just go out and "fire two blasts", entirely un-aimed of course, somewhere into the night...thus immediately leaving her completely unarmed and utterly helpless?..While naturally affording any who wish her harm the full benefit of immediately knowing her EXACT position in the process?  Are such "people" as Biden ANYONE who I should reasonably look to for guidance on both the selection and proper use of weapons of ANY kind?....Seriously? I fully agree that the sad likes of Biden and apparently his wife certainly don't need any AR15, since they'd likely just harm themselves with any such weapon. For that matter; any sufficiently stupid, untrained and entirely undisciplined IDIOT that'd EVER advocate firing "two blasts", entirely un-aimed, shouldn't be trusted with ANY kind of weapon.

YOu served...own a gun.  The redneck girl in a bikini firing her AK?  Send her and her boyfriend to Syria to shoot one.  Would you be opposed to requiring military service for someone to own a gun?

P.S. obama/Biden/Hillary et al never served anyone but themselves, so why should they be allowed armed protection, or to ever own a gun themselves? Precious few politicians could ever even successfully pass any honest psychiatric evaluation.
