Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't it be more economical to run a RJ on a route like CLT-TLH or CLT-GNV vs running a Dash-8? Running a Dash at 18000ft for 2 hours probably burns more fuel than running a RJ running much higher for about an hour and 15 min, doesn't it? With the decreased leg time, wouldn't crew costs also decrease?
