just thinking out loud here,

if Ge pulls financing on EMBs,

what about the other airplanes backed by GE (currently on property)

what about the engines backed by GE (currently on property)

and wasnt the entire gonna save the company plan by buying loads of EMBs?

how big a jump is it from no $$ for EMBs = No EMBs, No EMBs = no transformation plan.

i sincerly hope that this a "required" step in the process in order to renegoiate the terms of the contracts themselves.

Still a tip of the cap to all the employees who continue to work in this time of uncertainty, thank you for being professional.

So this is different from Embraer stopping deliveries, right? The company's plan revolves around EMBs of different sizes being pretty much the backbone of the domestic system as I understand it... how will they do this now?

Or will Embraer and GECAS agree to start deliveries again if the company gets the cuts they want?

Next!!!!!

I think we're about to see other creditors get in line
to file their own objections to the Ch11 filing. Things
could get ulgy very quickly. Once the dominoes begin
to fall, there is not much that can stop them.

More to this story than meets the eye. Delivery problems? Timing? Just asking. Good night. Greeter.

PineyBob, My thoughts exactly. Now you know what we as employees deal with, when a union has become irrelevant....Not saying they arent great on a day to day basis, but when an airline is bk, they become irrelevent

If unions are irrelevant a company would be free to do as they say and pillage the employees.

Once again you speak of things you do not know about. The company will have to deal with the unions and their attorneys. And be forced to negotiate in "good faith".

Theoretically, so does management.

It's Usfliboi's opinion so who's to say he speaks of things he doesn't know about. Maybe it's an opinion he's developed through experience. Who's to say his opinion doesn't matter yet only those that think they know what's going is the only opinion that matters. The fact of the matter is things are getting worse for UAIR daily and it's not going to be long before none of the unions, none of the employees and none of the management are going to be relevant. They're all going to be casualties of a chapter 7 filing initiated by those that UAIR owes money to. The only thing for certain is there will be 28,000 people earning nothing and the majority of them looking at never replacing the income they thought they could easily replace before taking the hard line stance.

Aero, according to him hes the only one with the "facts"...... The unions have become irrelevent, and your right i do speak from experience. The company in the end will get its way. 700 is correct in one way. The fact that they have delayed this long, may cause us to lose even more than we would had if we had understood the depth of our troubles. Unions are good on a day to day basis, but common sense dictates, if a company is bk, the union can only sit on sides lines. In this case maybe make things worse. I have 16 years experience with this airline, and have been a member of afa all along. So i speak fom my experience. There is no right or wrong here.

You fail to realize that the unions in this company have been giving concessions since 1992.

And Siegel and his merry gang of thieves agreed to two rounds of concessions where they told the employees that would be sufficient enough to make US successful.

Tell the whole story not half-truths.

And we all know what deceit you have posted, first you are shown not to be what you said you were (walk through the CLT hangar without a SIDA badge lately?). Then you say you are on a VF, and now you say you are working, which one is it?

Memory going?

This is the question that I want an answer to. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

Embraer's press release stated that deliveries would resume only if they (Embraer) received assurance from the BK court that they would get paid.

Their reasoning: new airplanes = new debt. Companies in BK can not legally take on new debt without the permission of the court.

Besides, I think they already have an alternate customer(s) for the planes just as Bombadier has for the a/c that were supposed to go to UAIR.
