The announcement, which confirmed plans first unveiled by US Airways on January 31, leaves the airline with outstanding orders for 29 Airbus jets. Airbus said deliveries of all 29 aircraft on backlog would start in 2007 and run through 2009.

Im not sure what your point is. There s nothing new with that announcement. In fact it was good news. Those were FIRM orders and not the options. That doesnt change anything at all.
