Sherri Ann Urbanek-Bach
The Pennsylvania woman who accused St. John's basketball players of rape said yesterday she's a married flight attendant - not a prostitute.
"I'm not a hooker. I'm not a stripper," Sherri Ann Urbanek-Bach, 38, told the Daily News as she was released from a Pittsburgh jail on $2,000 bail.
"This is such a nightmare."
Police arrested Urbanek-Bach on Thursday after she claimed the teammates picked her up at a strip club, took her to their hotel and raped her.
But cops said the woman admitted she concocted the story because she was upset the players refused to pay her $1,000 for having sex with them.
She was charged with filing a false report and extortion, while St. John's expelled one player and suspended four others for the escapade.
After a night in jail, Urbanek-Bach looked exhausted, and she shook as she recounted the drunken evening that landed her behind bars.
A flight attendant on furlough, she said she spent the night drinking wine with friends, then followed them to Club Erotica for beer.
