One question I need you guys to clerify for me.

According to the MOST updated seniority list that my seniority number is 24070 and the next person on list to be recalled is 19883
24070 - 19883 = 5193 that means there are at least five thousand people in
front of me.

BUT...According to the MOST updated furlough list as of 02/28/05 that I am
number 3868 on the list ...

Why is the number different ?

Thank you

The most recent seniority list is dated 8/1/04 and is corrected for some mistakes made in the 6/1/04 list. The recall list recently posted on the APFA site takes into account all the retirements and people who have quit, died, been fired, or whatever between August and the end of February, as well as the 610 offered reemployment effective Nov 17, 2004.

731, which is #633 of the TWA people. Over 40% of the TWA people ahead of me have dropped out since July 2003, when I was 1076.

Why were they dropped out from the list ? Quit ?

There were a bunch who retired directly from furlough IIRC.

And a bunch who lacked medical coverage requiring them to retire so they could be covered at reasonable rates.

I have 33 years, so of course those ahead of me have even more. It's logical that in a furlough that has lasted almost two years that many of the seniors will "hang it up."

And as L1011ret adds, there are those who wanted to return, but retired simply to get insurance. Too bad when people who want their jobs feel they have to quit for such reasons.
