I guess we have one of the reasons LCC has the highest profit margin. Add to this the fact that LCC pay is at or near the bottom in practically every category. Nevermind the bare-bones amenities onboard. Hell, come to think of it, its a small wonder how LCC doesn't make more $$$ than the rest of the majors combined!

WOW! I honestly thought it was much more than 23%.

Notice that the comparison is 7/1/2007 vs 7/1/2003 - after emerging from BK1. If you went back 2 extra years, to 7/1/2001 prior to 911, the reduction would be over 50% - 44,500 FTE employees in 2001 vs 20,400 in 2007.
