Maybe the GOP is simply more concerned with assigning positions based on their qualifications and experience, and not simply looking at the absence of a penis or the color of their skin?...
If that is the case then they were not overly concerned about their experience or qualifications when they were running for office. So out of all the republican members of the house, the only ones who were qualified to run committees are white males?
Are you this blinded by your party that this is the position you are taking? The dems are only a little better, but they do have quite a few more minority members so at least there is that.
Out of the 23 or so republican women in the House none of them are more qualified than the other Chairmen?
It's interesting that the GOP house rules limit chairmen terms which forced Ileana Ros-Lehtinen to resign but they made and exception for Paul Ryan to stay on. I am sure there is nothing to that right?
The dems have 57 women out of 201 while the republicans have 20 out of 234. I was only able to find 1 black republican (2 if you count out going Allen West), 8 Hispanics so I guess none of them were qualified either huh?
I guess it could be hard finding qualified minorities to place in leadership positions when your party does not even vote them in to Congress in the first place.
GOP, party of the white man.
The Senate is much much worse for both parties. Out of 100 members only 4 are minorities. I know 1 (Marco Rubio) is republican. The other 3 are democrats (2 Hawaiian and one Hispanic)
