Bringing back an old topic, first ever Dash 8 sent in. I'm very curious about how that Dash 8 will look in the new paint...

US has been painting planes in KROW for years. Is that where AA painted planes as well?
Yeah, they've done a number of mostly widebody repainting there.

The Dash 8 is a tank. It will never retire until FORCED!! :)
I have flown on Continental/hogan dash 8's and loved it. It reminded me of the old prop airliners in the way it sounded in the cabin. Maybe I'm old fashioned.

That makes me laugh...only because the "Q" in "Q-400" stands for quiet. The airplane is supposed to have a noise canceling system so that you don't hear those sounds. As a former Colgan employee, it's nice to know they spared no expense in keeping that system up.

Maybe???  Well, maybe you are old fashioned.

And I would have my hearing checked, too, if I were you.  If you liked that racket, you should see an ear specialist.

I've never been on a Q 400, but I recall flying on a Dornier 328 years ago that had that system. I was amazed at the low noise level in the cabin.
