Fed Ex 737 Buy

Maybe US figured:

1) The EMB-170 isn't a catch-all solution on every route,

2) More lift is required than originally anticipated, or

3) US could not get enough delivery slots or lease agreements to cover an equivalent number of A-319 purchases/leases.

BTW, who was the bum that first perpetuated that rumor???? It had the board in fits for at least three days. 700? You're the search master.

Been contacted by PM, I think it was a sparing match between them. Then again I thought a certain captain was involved but... well you know.

~ Maybe 737-300's are not ideal cargo aircraft

~ Maybe FedEx doesn't want to wait around for US Airways to figure out which way is up

~ Maybe US Airways needs to maintain the 737 fleet to run its own business

~ Maybe nobody seems to even agree whether or not this potential deal really exists, so its all pointless, baseless speculation.

~ Maybe airline execs spend lots of time talking about deals that never happen to distract employees (and perhaps themselves) from the reality

I was sent to the cornfield by the hardline moderator who lets a certain poster get away with the same offense he charged, tried and sentenced me for, I am back.

And it was between a certain pilot and myself.
