F/A Vacation

Hmmm as soon as I heard the buzz of this merger before the announcement I wondered. Remember the past restructured agreements it was JetBlue this and JetBlue that....some Southwest this and some Southwest that. Well when southwest f/a's got their raises you heard nothing about them. All of the sudden it was America West this and America West that. The America West payscale started floating around in print and comparisons. This was in the planning for a long time and as a Doug supporter myself have to agree that he knew damn well about ALL OF THIS. So negotiating is one thing but we are NOT taking it in the shorts this time. We have been pressed to take what we have by the company during BK1 and BK2. For those that thought we bent over, well it was gonna get rammed to us by the company or the judge. We are not forced under those conditions anymore. We now are a strong company together with some cash in the bank and new little "darling" on Wall Street. Not much we on east are going to give up to gain back what we lost. Together both sides east and west have to stand tough and lay it down and say enough. We can negotiate a fair contract if all negotiate fairly. I do agree that some of the wests vacation will probably have to go. Maybe only a few day though I'm guessing. Both sides need to support each other as soon we will not be "sides" but a whole.
