Envoy....No more Bruch from Europe....

Isn't that the truth? I have seen the appetizer tray completely waterlogged and soggy. You couldn't tell if you were serving chicken, duck or cat for that matter. The quality of the food is shocking. Don't be amazed that people eat it though as the thought of no food for eight hours usually makes people eat.

I have a question. Why does the Burrito in Kinglobjaw's photo have writting on the top. I can make out a logo followed by an E then a M and O below that? Just curios, is US selling ads on the Envoy meals now? Sorry could not resist.

Cheers

Looks like Tempe misspelled Beano.

Did ANYONE notice the AWA logo on the glass????? HA HA! Seems Tempe has shipped all of there glassware to PHL for a real CHEAP experience. LOL  I thought that picture was from the old days at HP, when we served an Turkey Wrap to San Jose, CA!!! Anyway, cheap, cheap, cheap!! At least the Envoy passengers know who runs this airline, AWA in disguise!!! he, he! Just Kidding. What does the coach meal look like??

Wake up Tempe! CO gives us meals in FC on anything over 2 hrs, and on transcon they give 4 meal choices.

CO reduced meal choices on transcon to 3 choices (no seafood option anymore) and made-to-order ice cream sundaes are only on EWR-SFO/LAX flights. Meanwhile, the service on CO from PHL-IAH is better than what is pictured with that burrito.

I don't understand for the life of me how anyone in management can admit that the Envoy service is competitive. If they flew on other carriers which we have hashed out on here a zillion times they would see that the product is NOT, NOT, NOT in line with other carriers.
Its not. Just flew it, on "vouchers" the first week of November...PHL-MAD. Not a product I'd pay for. For FF tix? Sure. That's it though.

I'm headed to CDG on Sunday...and flying Icelandair....FI....who wants to bet with me that product will be a superior product?

And when we priced it, Envoy was something like $6,000 r/t....FI in "Saga" Class was $2,500.

Better service, MUCH less money....hmmm

Maybe they should call it "Mirage" class....it gives a little nod over to the Desert/America West side to remind us who is in charge , yet it still gives us in the East a chuckle because it's sadly, so fitting.

I know. I couldn't believe there was an AWA glass sitting there. As for the coach meals, just imagine a plate full of colorful puke. Just kidding! I don't fly to Europe so I can't comment.

Flightchic's description of the coach meals reminds me of a scene many of you may remember from 1997's "Vegas Vacation" where Randy Quaid's character "cousin Eddie" is at the really bad buffet and he ask's the server for some of the "yellow". If you saw the movie you will probably get the referance, if not here goes.

Ah, I always assumed that they ran out of something by the time they got to me. I always seem to get row 5 or 6. In any case - the sundaes are awesome, I do fly the SFO flight pretty often... AND THE NUTS ARE HOT! Always served with class, in a cup. I did start a conversation with the FA, who did tell me that she was upset with how they've downgraded first class over the past two years. I said "like what", and she was like "well, we used to have really nice printed menus for the FC service". Imagine that... They did away with printed menus...

We get 2 meal choices on EWR/PBI - the flight is only a tad over 2 hours. I really feel for the FA's who have to do this service on the 757-300 - 24 seats - they work their butts off...

Continental Airlines - "We Really Move Our Tail For You!" (circa 1974)...gosh, I am showing my age!

UPDATE! CO once again has listened to its best customers (unlike US) and they are bringing back full transcon service as of February 1 with ice cream sundaes on all transcon market flights--LAX/SFO/SNA/PDX/SAN/SEA/SJC/YVR!
